Eight Selected From Nepal To See Brazil Vs DPR Korea WC Match

May 31, 2010 02:39:19 PM Tejmaya Gurung, programme officer, Mercy Crops, said, “We plan to fly the best eight players, one each from eight schools (training centres), to South Africa to watch soccer world cup that begins next month.” Now, it has been confirmed that those eight football players from Kailali District are going to watch Brazil Vs DPR Korea match. Qatar, which is vying to host 2022 world cup, is assisting the project. It plans to assist more such projects in the developing countries. But for now, only Pakistan and Nepal have been selected for the pilot project. It’s part of Qatar’s attempt to lobby support for the bid to host 2022 FIFA World Cup, added Gurung. Hassan Al Thawadi, official at Qatar WC bid, told Super Sport Channel, "Those selected from Nepal will see the match between Brazil Vs DPR Korea".
